Drudge is an excellent source, though not a full-scale, coding, interacting newstweeter, just an information provider. But this one is a tired song we wish would not have long air time.
Isn't it a good thing Barack is bringing business to New York City right now? And isn't it GOOD morale to see your President calm and enjoying himself. We think it is. So let the man have his date nights and drop a few coins on some hurting communities. Maybe next week he could come to Bethlehem, Pa, our home office, and do some partying at our new Sands Casino. I'll bring the chips if he brings the ginormous black cars.

Some Politicians are starting to get twitter. Mel here uses twitter well to share info, does the occasional almost obligatory 'I eat french bread' comment everyone tells you have to be made to 'look authentic'
The coding thing for most of these guys, outside of #tcot, #topprog, maybe #gop and occasional trending topics, is non-existent. Not everyone has caught on to the databasing, info-mining power of coding.
But Mel, or his staff, understands effective use of your twitter picture space, so bravo!

This is our favorite local Chicago News Tweeter. We picked this tweet at random to show you how Chicago_News uses twitter, as a newswire.
This approach is not uneffective, however, as people are beginning to learn, streams in twitter are constantly flowing, so if you have important stories, breaking news, etc, you need to tweet more than once.

Amongst the great web unwashed, Obama is a sophisticated tweeter surrounded by brilliant facebook creator types.
But amongst the rest of us, we know Obama's once mastery of web 2.0 has already been bypassed by new realities that still have yet to completely unfold. This account on twitter is a good example. Next to Kutcher, this has to be the most overhyped and useless twitter accounts of all-time. It tweets once every two days or so information that anyone can get from a host of websites around the worldiverse (they took webiverse, so I invented worldiverse...it's like a world universe of webstuff).
Its ranking in this week's charts is due to that one tweet which attempted to viral his 'grassroots' campaign for healthcare (June 6th is coming).

We noticed that same day, Friday, that O'Reilly appeared out of touch next to Glenn Beck on Glenn's Show. Some of us felt it had all the appearance of the torch being passed, not willlingly, but now the contrast becomes obvious.
Seeing O'Reilly's soft interview made us believe that perhaps the powers at Fox watching that show, especially after the earlier appearance on Beck, may have seen the obvious before their faces..

Dude, you coded first? Coding is great for folks to find data and get their stuff to the right people, but it will never look good to the eye, so put your codes at the end so the news tweet reader can get a clean look at the headlines.
We learned this lesson the hard way, using one of our twitter rss feeds on another site, then we saw how ugly the coding looked, how it cluttered our clean headines.
But you guys are ok with us so long as you keep giving us the most essential element of any good newstweeter, good content to tweet about.

This week of tweets was overwhelming, and the quality of news tweets across the board is improving daily as we learn to master the twitter tool and incorporate it with the vast field of twitter playbuddies fast emerging (I'd tell you the list, but then I'd have to...well..)
Some of our favorite news tweeters weren't on this week's charts, but we are sure they'll be back.
